Built2Last Innovations Lab, Inc., an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit, begins providing services to small businesses in Durham.
Built2Last’s mission is to create a more inclusive entrepreneurial and business ecosystem in Durham, with an emphasis on women and underrepresented minorities, and to assist individuals in marginalized communities to gain the skills and experience needed to fully participate in economic prosperity.
Durham’s Built2Last Innovations Lab, Inc., aspires to make Durham a leading city in the United States for all residents, especially members of underrepresented backgrounds, to participate in all facets of economic development and uplift.
Built2Last is governed by an 11-member Board of Directors as well as an Executive Director who provides oversight of daily operations. The start-up has three divisions: The Bull City Enterprise Training Center; The Bull City Durham Collaborative; and The Bull City Equitable Development Fund (will be operational by 2024).
Built2Last, which will have an equity fund, also provides training and technical assistance to childcare, encore (ages 55+), and green entrepreneurs.
